Tutorial: tiny cards

Hello everyone, it's Giorgia here today.
First of all let me tell you something: this will be my last post for Altair Art because due to personal reasons I need to leave the DT.
It was really a hard decision to make but it was necessary.
I wanna thank Anka for having me in the team and you lovely readers for following me during this adventure.
I will make also the inspiration for our next challenge - check it out in the blog on July 5th - but this is my final individual post.

For my last post I share with you an idea to create mini cards that can be also used as place cards.
From all the Altair Art collections, my favorite is Sunshine and I used it to create this little cards. Below you will find a small tutorial on how to make them.

These cards are squares and they measure 6 cm: you need to cut a plain cardstock at 6x12 cm and score it in a half. Then cut squares from Sunrise papers measuring about 5,7 mm.

Using the sewing machine, zig zag sew on all the patterned papers borders to create a funny texture. Don't worry if you are not precise, the cards will be cute also if imperfect, because it will add a whimsy feeling - mine have a lot of imperfections!

Adhere the paper to the card base. Fussy cut the butterflies and glue them on the paper - glue only their body, so you can lift up the wings and make them fly. Add a little sentiment and the mini card is ready.
I think they can be use also as a cute place card: you only need to make them open vertically instead of horizontally and add the name guest instead of the sentiment! You can use them at a birthday party, at a spring dinner with friends, or even at a wedding, why not?!

These are the paper I used, you can find them here:

I hope you like my project and I wish you a good day.
I will miss you guys!

Ciao
