Hello everyone!
Are you as ready for spring as I am? I know, it will still be a long way to go to really warm days spent outside. But today I have brought in spring with this card:
This card is totally unusal for me in more than just one way. First, I usually ever do purples. Don't ask me why, it's not that I don't like the color. But somehow I always have a hard time to use it. Not so on this card. The great purple-ish paper from the Sunrise 03 paper sheet was so much fun to use. Maybe because it's not a plain purple but has blues and greens and hints of pink in it, too. I used this for the middle panel on my card.
The background and the smaller panel are both from the Sunrise 04 paper. I just used the front and the back here. Since they are from the same sheet they match each other in color perfectly. I also used the same paper I used for the background to fill in my frame again.
The second for me unusual thing I did here is to not use a stamped image. 99 % of my cards have a stamped image but here those butterflies were just perfect for my theme and color scheme. They are cut from the Holy Mountain Butterflies 3 and the Made of Stars 2 sheet. Before glueing it to my card I've bend the wings up and only attached the butterflie's body to the card so you get a kind of 3D effect.
In the end I've added a bunch of spring colored flowers, a saying meaning "luck is to have someone like you" and a few dots made with Enamel Accents.
